This User Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing your reserving and/or attending a retreat facilitated by us. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Acceptance of Terms
By reserving and/or attending a retreat facilitated by us, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept any part of this agreement, please do not use our services.
Definitions
For the purposes of this User Agreement, references to “Services”, “Retreat”, “Events” or “Adventures for Connection” means any and all services offered by us. References to “us”, “we” and/or “our” mean Adventures for Connection.
Bookings
By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.
Payments
Deposits
We require a 50% deposit to reserve your spot for a retreat. Any remaining balance is required to be paid at least four(4) months before the retreat start date.
Cancelations
Cancellations that are two(2) months or more before the retreat date will result in a $250.00 USD processing fee. Cancellations within two(2) months of the retreat date will result in a $450.00 USD processing fee.
Refunds
We will refund your payment in full if any cancellation, less the processing fees detailed in this agreement. If any cancellation is within two(2) months of the retreat, you are eligible for a 50% refund. Any no-shows will not receive a refund.
Payment Methods
We accept payments by Stripe, Wise, Cash, or eTransfer. eTransfer payments may only be made for retreats charged in CAD(Canadian Dollars). When registering for a retreat we will provide instructions on how to pay for and secure your spot.
Currency
Unless otherwise stated, all retreat prices are in USD(United States Dollar).
Media
By attending our retreats or accessing our services, you agree that your image can be used by Us in promotional material for marketing purposes and testimonials on social media. If you do not wish for your image to be used, you must contact us, in writing. We will remove your images within 30 days time.
Health
It is your responsibility to let us know of any health issues or concerns that could impede your ability to participate in certain activities. We will make accommodations as best as we can. Please let us know when booking if you have any concerns as the majority of our retreats are off-the-grid.
Airfare and Transportation
You are responsible for any cost incurred while traveling to a retreat location. This includes airfare, taxi, Uber, gas, transportation to and from the airport, and accommodations before & after the retreat start and end date.
Travel and Health Insurance
Travel and Health Insurance are not required but are highly recommended, especially if the retreat is not located in the country you reside in.
Meals
Unless explicitly stated by us, you are responsible for your meals, snacks, and beverages that are not water.
Travel Documents
We are not responsible for ensuring that you have the right travel documents for any Events attended in countries that require documentation such as a Visa. Any advice or information that we give you is not to be taken as legal advice and is provided as a courtesy. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions in any applications for travel documentation.
You are required to have a valid passport that is not within six (6) months of its expiry date.
You are responsible for being aware of any restrictions on your Passport regarding traveling to a foreign country.
Guides
Our guides join us on retreats to give Educational, Informational, and Spiritual Purposes Only. Any information on or through our website is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, religious, or spiritual advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The information provided by our guides is not intended to be Legal or Financial advice. They are not a substitute for a lawyer, accountant, and/or financial advisor.
We and our guides do not promise any kind of success financially, medically, spiritually, or any other personal goals.
Amendments and Cancellations
Amendments
Cancellations by You
You are not eligible for a refund or transfer of any monies paid by you to another retreat date due to cancellation by you.
Cancellations by Us
If a retreat is canceled by us, we will inform you of your options for transferring your deposit to another retreat at a future date.
Conduct
We believe that all life is sacred and ask that all guests respect themselves, fellow guests, animals, and nature alike. We are guests at our retreat locations and we expect our guests to be mindful of their behavior. We reserve the right to ban anyone from using our services who does not abide by this. Our guests are also expected to follow any additional rules that our hosts may have.
Complaints
All complaints must be submitted in writing and addressed to us directly. You agree that you will not post any complaints on social media, chat channels, private group chats, text messages, or any other means of private and public communication.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and disclose information about you.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada without regard to its conflict of law principles.
